About
the property
Perched on a hill neighbouring the well-equipped
market town of Villefranche de
Lauragais, this beautifully restored stone château is
set on a five-acre garden with 100-year old trees and offers
a wonderful view of the gently rolling countryside and nearby
villages. The property consists of the Château with
several dépendances (outbuildings) and a large, secured
pool.
The south wing of the Main building has been converted into
an independent 3-bedroom gîte on the ground floor called
the Sedona which is architecturally separated from the rest
of the Château. The owners are available to welcome
guests and provide assistance as required.
On the Southern edge of the property, next to an alley of
evergreen trees, lies a large 106 sq meter (1060 sq ft) swimming
pool with two sunny decks providing a postcard view of the
village and the Pyrénées mountains in the background.
The main garden consisting of labyrinth-like trimmed hedges
has three separate garden areas ideal for evening walks and
romantic promenade.
One of the garden areas has playground equipment including
swings and a sandy box for children. The elevated location
of the property affords a breathtaking 360 degrees view of
the surrounding countryside.
